Windows XP, Me, NT, 2000, 98, or 95:
Java Plug-in makes it possible for your computer (including Windows XP, Me, NT, 2000, 98, or 95) to run applets, small applications that add
tremendous power to the convenience of the Web. Applets run on just about any computer because most come with Java software already installed. But some do not, and older computers may have an
out-of-date version.
JavaTM technology is everywhere: from the tiniest cell phones to the biggest servers. It can also be on your computer and at your service. To bring your system to the leading edge, get Java Plug-in. (For Windows XP, Me, NT, 2000, 98, or 95).
After you have tried the options listed below (enable java in your browser) and then rebooted your computer, if your java aplications still don't work, then come back to this page and Download Microsoft Virtual Machine for Internet Explorer
Download
Microsoft's Virtual Machine

Virtual Machine can not be removed once it has been installed
After you have tried the options listed below (enable java in your browser) and then rebooted your computer, if your java aplications still don't work, then come back to this page and go to the Sun Microsystems Java web site and download the latest version of the Java Plug-in. (for Windows XP, Me, NT, 2000, 98, or 95)
Download Sun Microsystem's Java Plug-in
DO NOT install both Microsoft Virtual Machine AND Sun's Java plug-in. If you downloaded and
installed both Microsoft Virtual Machine AND Sun's Java Plug-in, you may experience a conflict. This will appear as an irratic mouse pointer (when viewing virtual tours for example). In this case, go
to your Java Console (click the icon in your control panel) and disable java for Netscape or Internet Explorer. Or go to your Control Panel and remove Java Plug-in by clicking the Add/Remove Programs
icon.
A Note to Netscape 4x users who have updated their browser online: If you have updated your Netscape Browser via Netscape's online upgrade option (rather then by CD-ROM), then you may experience java related problems. If so, use the Netscape® Communicator 4.7 CD to reinstall Netscape. Then your java should work again.
Another Netscape Tip: Sometimes if you can't get a 360° Virtual Tour rotating panorama java applet to
work, you may need to close your browser or even reboot and then it should be fine.
